SpaceX plans to build new facilities in Florida

Elon Musk’s aerospace and space transportation company SpaceX announced on Friday it plans to build a number of new facilities at the NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida. In documents filed with NASA in April, the firm noted its expansion would include a new launch control center, as well as a large rocket processing facility.

“As SpaceX’s launch cadence and manifest for missions from Florida continues to grow, we are seeking to expand our capabilities and streamline operations to launch, land and re-fly our Falcon family of rockets,” SpaceX spokesperson James Gleeson stated.

Earlier this week, SpaceX launched its Falcon 9 rocket for the 11th time this year from Cape Canaveral, Florida.
