Microsoft Corporation is set to announce a deal acquiring the code repository GitHub Inc. in the week ahead, multiple media outlets reported. An unnamed source told Axios that the closing of the deal is in its final stage.
However, another source reportedly said that there is a lot of misinformation in the media, possibly referring to the sum of $5 billion.
On Friday, Business Insider reported that the companies held talks in the past weeks, citing people close to both software firms. GitHub was last valued at $2 billion, back in 2015.
