Facebook will not testify at House hearing

Facebook Inc said it will not send any of its employees to testify at a United States House of Representatives hearing on Thursday on social media practices. Facebook denied charges of being biased against conservatives and the company’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg talked about how his social media giant treats conservative views a number of times during his congressional testimony earlier this month.

“We look forward to a continuing dialogue with members of the Committee about Facebook’s strong commitment to being a platform for all voices and ideas,” said a spokesperson for the company said.

Facebook was invited to appear alongside Google and Twitter which haven’t yet said whether they will be attending.
