Apple iOS and tvOS were expanded to include live streaming of news content, 9to5Mac reported. Users are able to get direct access to CNN, Fox News, CNBC, FOX News, among other ones. Furthermore, if a device doesn’t have a designated application for a certain news outlet, tvOS or iOS will prompt the user to install it directly from the App Store. On tvOS, customers can use Siri to start playing a certain news network.
The solution for news content streaming was announced in November, as the tech giant promoted live sports integration. The News section is live for users running the latest iOS 11.2.5 and tvOS 11.2.5 versions.
Meanwhile, Apple’s long-awaited HomePod wireless speaker appears to have been sold out day before his official release, February 9, according to order estimates in the United States.
