Apple Inc. delayed the launch of its HomePod smart speaker once again, CNBC reported on Monday. According to the report, the tech giant said that the product “needs a little more time before its ready for our customers.”
Earlier in November, Apple said the product launch will be delayed until next year, stating the shipments will start in February 2018. The voice command wireless speaker was initially planned for a December release.
The tech firm originally revealed its new smart speaker in June 2017. According to Apple, HomePod will deliver “stunning audio quality wherever it’s placed,” while providing access to one of the world’s largest cloud music libraries. Apple added that its intelligent personal assistant Siri “developed a deep knowledge of music and understands your preferences and tastes.”
